Kirton Friday 5

So, the day finally came. We are back to racing on a Friday evening!

The weather threatened to put a dampener on the event (pun very much intended) but in the end just made the course more entertaining with a few sizable puddles.

I would like to apologise for the queues at registration; we will definitely try to improve on this next year.

I would like to take a moment to thank our event sponsor, Woodbridge School, and the series sponsor, JMFinn

I would also like to thank our volunteers – many of whom would have liked to be racing but gave up their time to support the event. It really couldn’t happen without you.

Results are published by racesonline: Five mile and fun run. There were some very impressive performances, especially given the lack of recent racing experience.

We have had some great feedback, and we have some improvements lined up for next year. If anyone has any more feedback, I would definitely appreciate it – please email kirton5@frr.org.uk

Of course Friday evening racing doesn’t end here. We go to over Sudbury next week – it’s a great event (and the hill isn’t as bad as people claim!) Registration for each race in the series will close on the preceding Sunday, so don’t hang about if you want to be there. Register here
