FRR Club Colours – A Friendly Reminder
As a club, we’re incredibly proud of the training, coaching, social events and races that Felixstowe Road Runners delivers throughout the year; all made possible by a fantastic team of volunteers and members. One of the things that makes Felixstowe Road Runners such a great club is seeing our members out racing and representing the club across Suffolk and beyond.
As an England Athletics affiliated club, our official club colours are a red vest or race t-shirt with the white band and “Felixstowe Road Runners” displayed in black. The approved versions of our club kit are those supplied through the club’s official kit provider.
We encourage all members to wear club colours whenever they are representing FRR at races, league events, championships, relays and other organised competitions. Wearing club colours helps promote team spirit, strengthens our club identity and recognises the support provided through the club’s coaching, events, race entries and volunteers.
A few key reminders:
- If you are an affiliated first-claim FRR member and enter a race as an affiliated runner, you must wear an official FRR race vest or race t-shirt.
- If FRR has provided or funded your race entry, you are expected to wear club colours when taking part, such as the Ekiden Relay, A14 Track Challenge and Cross Country Championships.
- If you are running for a charity, taking part in a personal challenge, or competing in a non-club capacity, you may choose to run in alternative kit where race rules allow. Please note that performances achieved outside official club representation may not count towards certain FRR awards, championships or records.
- Members are welcome to personalise their vest or t-shirt with their name or nickname. Many members find this helps supporters cheer them on during races. The preferred position is within the upper red section of the front of the garment using black or white lettering.
- Social members and non-members should not wear FRR race colours when competing at licensed events as representatives of the club.
Most importantly, we ask everyone to take a common-sense approach. We recognise there will always be occasions where members choose to wear alternative kit, and we want to support those choices while maintaining a strong and recognisable club identity.
Thank you to everyone who proudly represents FRR throughout the year. Whether you’re running your first race, chasing a personal best, a seasoned racer, supporting at events, coaching sessions, marshalling or simply encouraging fellow runners, you all play an important part in making our club what it is.
If you have any questions about club colours, race kit or eligibility, please speak to a member of the committee.
