Coastal 10 – “I run for”
Lauren Carr, one of our participants of this year’s Richard Bennett Felixstowe Coastal 10, runs all her races for the “I run for” initiative – runners are paired with young people with physical disabilities.
Lauren has been paired up with Alfie for nearly two years now. Alfie has cerebral palsy and other complex health needs. Lauren runs her races for Alfie and sends him a medal from each race she completes. Alfie is extremely proud of his medals and his dad has installed a medal hanger in his room. When we heard about this fantastic idea, we were more than happy to support Lauren and we also sent a couple of our previous medals to Alfie.
