FRR helps Santa!

Monday 12th December was the night “Slow” Paul‘s wish came true. Tonight, Slow, you will be Santa!

FRR joined up with Felixstowe Rotary Club and their sleigh to do one of the collection routes around Trimley St Martin collecting for Save the Children.

When we heard that Santa needed help, we asked our membership for some volunteers – within hours we had a team of elves arranged along with our very own Santa.

It was a very cold, but dry night. A night of excitement, not just for the children on our route, the more mature residents were also very happy to see Santa. I have to say Santa wasn’t on his sleigh very much, he was busy chatting to the young and old, giving hugs, chatting to a little old lady through her lounge window. 

It was a very humbling experience and one I plan to repeat next year.
